Ultimate Technical Academy offers unique training solutions for the plumbing, HVAC and electrical industries. There are 3 training options available to Troops to Trades grant recipients:
- Residential Plumbing. UTA’s training gives new plumbers a “jump-start” by teaching the practical side of the trade. This course teaches you what it takes to maintain the residential plumbing system. You’ll leave the class with a better understanding of the principals. You’ll also learn how to perform routine maintenance repairs within the plumbing system.
- HVAC. UTA offers core courses in Refrigeration AC/Heat Pump, Electrical Technology and Heating. These courses are for novice, intermediate and experienced technicians. The Troops to Trades program will send veterans to at least two of the main courses offered in this program.
- Electrical. UTA’s training gives you a “jump start” by teaching the practical side of the trade. This 1-week course contains a blend of classroom and “hands-on” training. You learn the theory on “how it works” in the classroom. You’ll get “hands-on” training in the lab, which teaches procedures on how to get the job done.
