Explore The Trades Attends the American School Counselor Association Conference

Explore The Trades attended the American School Counselor Association Conference in Kansas City, MO from July 12-15, 2024. This conference brought together almost 5,000 school counselors and educators from all over the country.

Kate Cinnamo, Executive Director of Explore The Trades, and Lara Beltz, Explore The Trades Board of Trustees President and owner of Beltz Home Services, attended the event and had great conversations about the importance of skilled trades education with educators and counselors from around the nation. In addition to the tradeshow of over 160 exhibitors, the conference provided nearly 200 sessions that focused on the education and needs of students in K-12 schools.

“With this being our fourth year exhibiting at the show, this is the best one yet,” stated Cinnamo. “The landscape of education is changing and with it, so is the conversation about the trades. While at the show, we spoke with so many counselors, of all age groups, who truly believed in the power of bringing the trades to their students. Plumbing, HVAC, and electrical are necessary to our communities and the future looks bright for the next generation of talent who are pursuing these industries.”

For conference attendees who didn’t get the opportunity to swing by the Explore The Trades’ booth, be sure to visit the website to request trades posters for your classroom!
