Explore The Trades was proud to attend the National School Boards Association (NSBA) Conference in Atlanta, GA—a gathering that brought together school board members, administrators, and education leaders from across the country.
Executive Director Kate Cinnamo, Board of Trustees President Lara Beltz (owner of Beltz Home Services), and Trustee Marty Cullen represented Explore The Trades at the event. Throughout the weekend, our team had meaningful conversations with attendees about the critical need to introduce plumbing, HVAC, and electrical career pathways in K-12 education environments.
These discussions reinforced what we know to be true: today’s students benefit from being exposed to a wide variety of careers, including the skilled trades, which offer strong earning potential, job security, and hands-on work that makes a difference.
Missed us at the conference? No problem! You can still bring trades career exploration into your classroom. Visit our website to request a free career path poster kit and help students start thinking about their futures in the skilled trades.
